2022 Holden Showdown

No more excuses for 2022...this is the official 2022 Holden Showdown breakdown and I better see you there!!!

Once again it will be at beautiful Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland. Gates will likely open at 8am but racing will not start until sometime around 10am barring any bad weather the night before. As in previous years I will need to get at least 50 cars to keep things exciting and will try to sweeten the pot a bit more for the bracket race winners. First place will once again get a cash prize of a value that is still TBD (will update soon)!

$125 per car and online entry will be encouraged to keep things rolling at the gate. Spectators and crew can also be purchased for $10 online or at the gate the day of the event.  Food and Fuel will be open like in the past. Unfortunately the food truck idea was not mean to be. Fuel shed usually closed around 12-1pm latest. Please make sure you bring a helmet and proper safety gear for cars that are not covered by NHRA ET rules.

!!!CONTINUING RULE!!! Drivers must utilize a drag radial or slick to take part in the racing program. Folks pay a lot of money to race for the day and that money includes great prep. In an effort to preserve that prep and allow for consistent racing no more street tires will be allowed. UPDATE:  I cannot make it more clear that if you show up the day of the race and do not have a radial or slick you are not racing and I WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY THE DAY OF. I had to do this out of my own pocket multiple times. Please read and digest that. If you pay and do not have a slick/radial and don't realize until the day of...that is on you. 

Gates open 8am with racing starting around 10. Bracket racing will start around 12:30pm and will run through 3pm. Call outs and test and tune will runt throughout the event until 4pm. Gates close 4pm.

I encourage you to purchase a ticket before the event to make sure you're locked in and I will add you to the racers list like before and post it here! I'm looking forward to the warm weather and racing and I'm sure you are too!!!!!!
